1. The FishMarket is the very centre of Bergen. The place people meet. Only one kilometre from The Elf House. About 10 minutes walk. Great shopping opportunities and plenty of great bars and restaurants to relax in.

3. Bryggen World Heritage Centre. The very first buildings in Bergen were built alongside the wharf called Bryggen, which has been the nerve centre of the city for centuries. The World Heritage site comprises the remains of the old wharfside buildings and one of medieval Norway’s best-known city districts.

4. USF Verftet: Music, dance, theatre, movies, art, design and literature. Houses the annual "NattJazz" "Night jazz" festival in the end of May. Ethnic and modern jazz. It's situated just 200 meters from "The Elf House".

5. Bergen Aquarium Meet the neighbours! Here at the Bergen Aquarium you will meet famous local personalities like Vitus, Dodraugen and Ping Kong. You can also experience the great atmosphere created by the young and old citizens of Bergen who keep coming back to say hello to the animals – and to meet each other. Since 1960, the aquarium has formed a vibrant part of our local identity. Not more than 5 minute walk from "The Elf House".

6. Greighallen, Bergen music hall. Home of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and stage for the annual International Festival, this music hall is a conspicuous slab of glass and concrete. The acoustics are marvelous.

The Royal Fjord Tour - Sognefjord & Flam Railway On this organized round trip, you have time to enjoy the Bergen Railway, the Flåm Railway and the Sognefjord. You can start the trip by train or boat from Bergen. Not more than 5 to 10 minutes walk from "The Elf House".
